Biography

Melissa Geisler Trafton is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History in the Department of Visual Arts. She teaches courses in nineteenth and twentieth-century art, as well as global contemporary art. Her interests include the history of collecting, printed ephemera and visual culture, and artist collectives. Before coming to ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, she taught at the University of New Hampshire, and has held curatorial positions in a variety of museums. She has been the exhibitions coordinator for the Saint-Gaudens Memorial, and the Adjunct Curator & Managing Editor for , a digital project of the Cape Ann Museum.
